How do I book a taxi in Guwahati with Eastern Himalaya Holidays?
Call or WhatsApp us on +91 91818 49872 with your pickup point, destination, dates and group size. We send vehicle options and a fare, you confirm with a small advance, and we share the driver's details before pickup.
Which vehicle is best for a group of 10 to 17 people?
For 10–17 travellers, the Force Urbania (10, 13 or 17 seats) gives the most comfortable ride on long hill roads. If you want the lowest fare per person, a Tempo Traveller (12, 13 or 17 seats) is the better value. For 18–26 people, choose the 20 or 26 seater Tempo Traveller.
What is the difference between Force Urbania and Tempo Traveller?
Urbania is Force Motors' newer premium van: it rides more like a car, is quieter inside, has larger windows and reclining seats. Tempo Traveller (Force Traveller) is the proven workhorse, comes in more seat sizes up to 26, and usually costs less to hire.
Do you provide outstation taxis from Guwahati to Shillong, Tawang and Kaziranga?
Yes. Outstation trips are our main work. We run daily to Shillong, Cherrapunji, Dawki and Kaziranga, and multi-day trips to Tawang, Sikkim, Nagaland and Bhutan with drivers who know the hill roads.
Do you offer pickup from Guwahati airport and railway station?
Yes. We pick up from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati Railway Station and Kamakhya Junction, and drop you at your hotel or straight to Shillong, Kaziranga or anywhere in the region.
What does the fare include?
Your quote lists exactly what is included, normally the vehicle, fuel and the driver. It also states whether tolls, parking, permits and driver night charges are extra, so there are no surprises.
Do I need a permit for Tawang, Nagaland or Bhutan?
Indian visitors need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, and Bhutan has its own entry permit rules. We explain the current requirements and help you arrange them when you book.
Can I customise a tour package?
Every package is fully customisable. Tell us your dates, budget and the places you want to see, and we'll adjust the route, hotels and pace to suit your group.
Is an advance payment required?
Yes, a small advance confirms your booking and reserves the vehicle for your dates. The balance is paid as agreed in your quote.
Are your drivers experienced on hill roads?
Yes. Our drivers regularly drive the Shillong, Cherrapunji, Tawang and Sikkim routes and know the road conditions, rest stops and weather patterns.
Can I book a taxi for just a few hours in Guwahati?
Yes. We offer local packages for city sightseeing such as Kamakhya Temple, Umananda and the riverfront, as well as meetings and shopping.
Do you arrange hotels too?
Yes. We can include hotels or homestays and sightseeing in your package, or just provide the vehicle and driver.
How do I pay?
We accept common payment methods including UPI and bank transfer. Details are shared with your quote.
What is your cancellation policy?
