Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp.
  • Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation period, supplier policies, hotel policies, transportation providers, and other service providers.
  • Processing charges, bank charges, and non-refundable booking fees may be deducted from refunds.
  • No refunds will be provided for unused services, missed tours, no-shows, or early departures.

Travel Documents

  • Travelers are responsible for carrying valid government-issued identification and any permits required for travel.
  • For destinations requiring Inner Line Permits (ILP), Protected Area Permits (PAP), visas, or other travel documents, travelers must provide the necessary information and documents on time.
  • Eastern Himalaya Holidays is not responsible for denied entry due to incomplete or invalid documentation.

Changes to Itinerary

  • Itineraries may be modified due to weather conditions, road conditions, government regulations, natural disasters, strikes, political disturbances, or operational requirements.
  • We reserve the right to substitute hotels, vehicles, routes, or activities with suitable alternatives when necessary.
  • Such changes shall not entitle customers to compensation or refunds.

Transportation Services

  • Vehicle allocation is based on the package booked and the number of travelers.
  • Drivers are instructed to follow local traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Customers are responsible for any damage caused to vehicles due to negligence or misconduct.
  • Vehicle availability may be affected by weather, road conditions, or mechanical issues beyond our control.

Hotel Accommodation

  • Hotel check-in and check-out timings are governed by the hotel’s policies.
  • Room allocation is subject to availability.
  • Any additional expenses incurred at hotels, including room service, laundry, telephone charges, or personal expenses, must be paid directly by the guest.

Limitation of Liability

Eastern Himalaya Holidays acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers such as hotels, transport operators, guides, and other vendors.

We shall not be held liable for:

  • Flight or train delays and cancellations
  • Natural disasters or adverse weather conditions
  • Roadblocks, landslides, floods, or earthquakes
  • Government restrictions or regulations
  • Loss of luggage, personal belongings, or valuables
  • Injuries, accidents, illness, or death occurring during travel
  • Acts or omissions of third-party service providers

Customer Responsibilities

Travelers agree to:

  • Follow local laws and regulations.
  • Respect local customs, traditions, and cultures.
  • Maintain appropriate behavior during the tour.
  • Follow instructions provided by guides, drivers, and tour coordinators.
  • Be responsible for their personal belongings at all times.
Eastern Himalaya Holidays reserves the right to terminate services without refund if a traveler engages in illegal, dangerous, or disruptive behavior.
